Our Mission Statement
Paws Rescue & Sanctuary is a 501(C)3, non-profit, no kill group, that offers rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary to animals in need until they find their forever home. We are made up of volunteers that care for and socialize our animals. Our goal is to offer each one a safe, loving, and permanent home.
Paws Rescue and Sanctuary believes it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless animals.
We have observed a great need in our community and are dedicated to rescuing animals left homeless for whatever reason: animals in public shelters (where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation), animals given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, animals abandoned in the streets and those in danger of abuse or neglect.
We place animals in loving, responsible and committed permanent homes, following a thorough and careful adoption process. This includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibility of bringing an animal into their homes and lives.
Animals (dogs and cats) in our care are spayed or neutered, heartworm or FELV/FIV tested, micro chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas and receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment. We assist animals in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Animals in the greatest need take priority.
We are determined to keep every dollar taken in going directly to the care of the animals. Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the animals beyond the adoption process.
Finally, we strive to work with area shelters, other rescue groups and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets.
